A hoop of automotive thieves that used software to steal cars with keyless entry and begin programs has been dismantled throughout France, Spain and Latvia, Europol stated Monday. Greater than 1 million euros ($986,175) in belongings was seized as 31 suspects had been arrested in a joint effort on Oct. 10.

Arrests included the alleged software program builders, those that bought the software program and the automotive thieves themselves. The software program was allegedly used to exchange the unique automobile software program so the doorways might be unlocked and the ignition began.

The software program labored on two French automotive producers, although Europol did not specify which of them.
