Chip design firm Nvidia is partnering with Microsoft to assemble a large-scale AI cloud laptop, the agency announced on Wednesday. Described as a “multi-year collaboration,” the undertaking will combine Microsoft’s Azure cloud computing system with Nvidia’s A100 and H100 chips, its Quantum-2 InfiniBand community and Nvidia AI Enterprise software program. The AI laptop would be the “first public cloud” to take action.

On Monday, Nvidia shared that Microsoft Azure is the first to use the Quantum-2 InfiniBand platform which performs knowledge and simulation operations at excessive speeds. The A100 and H100 processors are the corporate’s strongest, and can be utilized in a wide range of functions together with science and manufacturing.
