Facebook will eliminate contact and primary data from customers’ profiles, the corporate stated Thursday. Such data consists of the “eager about” discipline, which lets customers fill of their sexuality, political affiliation and tackle, and the “spiritual views” discipline. 

Emil Vasquez, a Meta spokesperson, told Gizmodo that the change was made to make Fb less complicated to make use of and navigate. 

“We’re sending notifications to individuals who have these fields crammed out, letting them know these fields will likely be eliminated,” Vasquez advised the publication. “This modification would not have an effect on anybody’s capacity to share this details about themselves elsewhere on Fb.”

The swap is scheduled to enter impact Dec. 1. 

Social media analyst Matt Navara spotted the change earlier Wednesday.
